“I run to You, to be where You are. I long to be in Your presence, to hear Your Voice. Don’t be slow, be quick! Away from the torrents of today and the pain of yesterday, I just want it all to go away.
Make me white as snow. Show me where to go. Please, don’t leave me. Please don’t go. Wrap me in the security of Your Love and Your Protection. Hold me close.
The enemy plots and schemes against me. I know he does – to yank me into submission-cause. Oh, how I despise his luring lusts, to bring me into utter moral disgust – away from You and drag me into this world of traps of soulless joy. No, I say, “No, in the Name of Jesus,” who saves the day and saves my soul. That is where I long to go.
Hear my prayers, Lord; and deliver me from this wicked world, I run to Thee…to be where You are; and hear Your Voice; and how You love me so. Your Word consuls me. I thank You for Your Word! Help me, Lord to understand. Open my eyes to see all You intended me to be.
You’re coming soon, and time is short. Help me to pray like it is my last day – like never before. In You, I put my trust.
I love You, Lord.”
Bible GateWay Word of the Day: Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way. (Psalm 139:23-34, NASB)
Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:1-5, HCSB)
For I didn’t think it was a good idea to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2:2, HCSB)
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. (1 Corinthians 1:10, NKJV)
34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,
“‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand 35 until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’ 36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”
37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:34-38, NIV)
8 Therefore He says:
“When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”
9 (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:8-16, NKJV)
But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord, I say, “You are my God.” (Psalm 31:14, NASB)
